Torbeg Farm Cottage
Torbeg Farm Cottage is on our working farm just outside Blackwaterfoot on Arran. It's a stone cottage, the old farm manager's house. It's detached, so it's quiet. The views from the windows are just fields and hills.
It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. The stairs are normal, not a spiral staircase or anything. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The living room has a wood burner for the colder months. There are French doors out to a courtyard garden. It's enclosed so it's safe for kids and dogs. You can sit out there with a BBQ.
Blackwaterfoot village is about a mile down the road. You can walk it in 20 minutes if you don't mind the hill on the way back. It's got a good shop, a pub, places to eat, and a butcher. The beach there is sandy and long. The golf course is right by the sea.
You're well placed for exploring the island. Brodick Castle is about a 20 minute drive. The National Trust looks after it, so the gardens are good. The main ferry port is in Brodick too. For a longer walk, Glen Rosa starts near there.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, Wifi. Bedding and towels are included. We can put up a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside the cottage.
