This is Hollinhaven. It's a house in Blackwaterfoot on Arran, detached. You look out at the sea from the front.
Sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and solid. It's unusual because the living room and kitchen are upstairs to get the view. The bedrooms are downstairs. There are two separate living rooms, which is handy. And there are two staircases.
One of the bedrooms and a shower room are off the second living room, down its own stairs. It works well if a couple in your group wants a bit more privacy, or if you've got older kids.
The garden is decent sized and there's a deck. You can see the sea from it.
The village is all right on your doorstep. A shop, a pub, the beach. It’s about 150 yards to the sand. The butcher is good if you're cooking in. There's a golf club.
For getting out, the whole island is there really. You can drive to Brodick in about twenty minutes. The ferry terminal's there, and Brodick Castle is a good visit. The west coast path is wild. Go north from here to Machrie Moor for the standing stones. The whole coastal loop around the island is a proper drive, but you can do sections of it.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a cot, a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi. Parking for two cars on the drive. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
