Tighnamara

Tighnamara is in Blackwaterfoot on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached house, so you won't have anyone next door. You can walk to the beach and the village.

It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The downstairs is mostly open plan, which works well for groups.

Blackwaterfoot has the basics. There's a shop, a butcher, and a hotel with a pub and a swimming pool. The golf course is right there if you play. The beach is sandy, good for kids. The sunsets from there are worth seeing.

The house has parking. There's a garden, a woodburning stove, and the usual things like a dishwasher and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

For things to do, you can explore the whole island from here. The north is mountains, the south is gentler. There's walking, cycling, and places that do sea kayaking. The National Trust for Scotland Arran page has good walking routes. You can get a ferry from Lamlash over to the Holy Isle, which is a nature reserve.

If you want a dram, the Arran Distillery is about a twenty minute drive. Brodick, with the castle and the main ferry port, is maybe half an hour by car. The Kintyre peninsula is visible, and you can get a small ferry from Lochranza if you fancy a day trip over.
