This is Alt Ardoch House. It's in Gortonallister, on the Isle of Arran. It's up a bit of a hill, so you get a good view out over the water and the mountains from the garden.
The house sleeps six. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring two dogs.
The garden is nice, plenty of flowers. We've put the chairs where you can sit and look at the view. There's a pine forest right behind the place. You can walk straight from the house onto the trails that go through there.
The village of Lamlash is the nearest. It's got a pier and a safe bay for boats. You can get sea kayaking or powerboat trips from there. You can also get the little ferry over to Holy Isle. It's a Buddhist community and the animals wander about freely. You often see seals on the rocks.
A couple of miles down the road is Whiting Bay. There are a few small shops there. There's a golf course and a path through the woods that takes you to Glenashdale Falls. You can get coffee and food at places like Felicity's at Bar Eden.
For facilities, it's got the basics: washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive.
