Cloy Lodge

Cloy Lodge is in Brodick on Arran. It's a detached villa, so no one on either side. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy.

It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. That means everyone gets their own, which is good with a full group. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's spacious and comfortable, but it's a holiday house, not a showhome. The stairs are fine.

The living area is open plan. French doors open onto a deck with a table. Upstairs, there's a big landing with sofas and its own TV, which kids tend to claim. There's also a conservatory that gets very warm when the sun's out.

You're less than two minutes' walk from the Auchrannie Resort. They've got swimming pools, a spa, restaurants, and a play barn for kids. That's all on your doorstep if you want it.

Brodick itself is a short walk away for shops, pubs, and places to eat. The beach and a play park are nearby. There's an 18-hole golf course on the edge of town.

For getting out, you're well placed. Goat Fell is right there for walking. The ferry to the mainland is in Brodick if you need supplies or want a day trip. You can drive to Lochranza in about half an hour to see the castle and maybe spot deer.

Facilities: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if required. One well-behaved pet is welcome.
