Seaview Corrie is in the village of Corrie on Arran. It's a detached stone cottage. The lane up to it is narrow and steep, but it's fine to drive. The view from the garden is the reason for the name. You look out over the Firth of Clyde and the hills.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, plus there's a sofa bed in the living room. Both bedrooms have low ceilings because it's an old cottage. There are two bathrooms, one with a roll-top bath. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's been refurbished recently so everything works and is clean, but it still feels like a cottage.
The stairs are unusual. The original owner was a sculptor and he carved them into a wave shape. It's a feature, but watch your step.
Corrie is quiet. There's a hotel down in the village that does food and has a beer garden by the sea. There's a really good fish bar and deli about a fifteen minute walk away. For a bigger shop, Brodick is about six miles.
If you walk, the path up Goatfell starts nearby. There's a golf course at Corrie Golf Club in Sannox, about five minutes by car. They have a tea room. The beach at Sannox is sandy and good for a proper walk. You can drive around the whole island in a day if you want.
What's here: a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking. All bedding and towels are included. No pets.
