This is Altbeg. It's a detached stone cottage down a quiet lane in North Corriegills on Arran.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It got a full refurb a few years back which sorted all the essentials, so it's warm and works properly, but we kept the feel of the place. There's an open fire in the living room and a wood burner in the dining room.
You're about a mile from Brodick, which is handy for the Co-op, a few shops, and the ferry. The woods start right out the back gate so you can walk straight into the forest. The coastal path to Lamlash goes past the house too.
Arran's got a bit of everything. Brodick Castle is a mile or so away, it's a National Trust for Scotland place. There's golf, good beaches for a walk, and the distillery up at Lochranza.
Facilities here: you've got parking, an enclosed garden, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. I'm afraid no pets.
