Glen Rosa Lodge is our house in Brodick on the Isle of Arran. It sleeps eight and it's got four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so everyone gets their own space. It’s modern inside, very light, and all one big room downstairs which is good when you’re all together.
The garden is fully enclosed and gets the sun most of the day. There’s a big deck with a table and chairs. It’s peaceful out there.
It’s in a quiet spot but you can walk to the Auchrannie Resort in two minutes. You can use their spa and swimming pool even if you’re not staying there. They’ve got restaurants and bars too. For a day out, you can walk into Brodick for the shops and the beach. The golf club is there as well.
Inside, everything works. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. The stairs are fine and there’s parking right outside.
For days out, the island’s good for walking. Goatfell is the big one. You can get a ferry over from Ardrossan. If you want to plan ahead, these are useful: VisitScotland Arran and National Trust for Scotland Arran.
