Glen Rosa Lodge

Glen Rosa Lodge is in Brodick, on the Isle of Arran. It's a villa in a quiet bit of a residential street, so it's peaceful but you're not out in the wilds.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and, usefully, four bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating, which reflects that it's well-finished and comfortable. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog, but pets aren't allowed I'm afraid.

The living space is all open plan. Lots of windows and patio doors make it feel bright. The kitchen has what you need, and the dining table seats everyone. French doors open straight out onto a big, south-facing deck with table and chairs. You get the sun there.

Upstairs, there's a galleried landing area with sofas and its own TV. It's a useful extra space if some of the group want to be separate for a while.

You can walk to the shops and places to eat in Brodick in a few minutes. The beach is close too. The big thing is you're less than a two-minute walk from the Auchrannie Resort. You don't have to stay there to use their swimming pool, spa, or restaurants. It's very handy.

For getting about, you can hire bikes from the resort. The local golf club is in Brodick. For walks, you've got Goatfell and the Arran hills right there. The whole island is accessible from here.

Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and the main living area is all on the ground floor.
