The Creagan is a cottage in Corrie village on the Isle of Arran. It's detached and up a bit of a hill off the main road. The reason for that is the view, which is straight out to sea. You get a proper, uninterrupted look at it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. The bathroom has an original roll-top bath and a separate shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The stairs are fine. There are two wood burners, one in the living room and one in the kitchen diner. They make it very cosy. The kitchen has patio doors that open onto the decking. You can sit out there with a drink and just watch the water. We see seals regularly. Sometimes, if you're lucky, dolphins go past.
Corrie itself is a line of houses along the coast road. There's a hotel about 300 yards down the hill. They do food and have a beer garden right by the sea. There's also a fish deli. The main village, Brodick, is about six miles away for a bigger shop. There's a children's playpark in the village and the hall sometimes has events.
The cottage has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right at the property.
For getting out, you're on the coast path straight away. The beach at Corrie is about a mile. For golf, Brodick Golf Club is close. The whole island is good for walking and cycling. If you want to explore further, you can catch the ferry from Brodick to Ardrossan on the mainland. Useful links for planning: VisitScotland Arran and the National Trust for Scotland Arran page.
