Highview is in Brodick. It's a detached cottage, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall. It's up the hill a bit, in a quiet spot. The view from the front is over the water to Goatfell. It's good for sunsets.
It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. Everything's on one level, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair to get through.
You've got a patio and a garden to yourselves. There's parking right there. Inside, it's open plan with a woodburning stove. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Brodick has shops and a couple of pubs. The coast is a short walk downhill. For getting about, the whole island is manageable. You can walk up Goatfell, or drive to Lochranza in the north in about half an hour. The VisitScotland page for Arran has a decent map.
If you want a day trip, you can get the ferry from Lochranza to the Kintyre peninsula. The ferry from Brodick to the mainland takes about an hour. On the island, you can visit the Arran Distillery. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Brodick Castle and some other parts of the island.
No pets, I'm afraid.
