Ivybank Cottage is in Lamlash, right on the island of Arran. It's next to my house and about twenty yards from the shore. You look straight out over the water to the Holy Isle.
It sleeps two people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. It's an old cottage, so the rooms are small. The heating works well though. The shower and toilet are on the ground floor.
You can see the village bay from here, full of boats. There's a hilly garden out the back. If you walk up to the top, you get a good view over the whole bay. Seals are often on the rocks.
Lamlash itself has a few pubs that do food, a couple of tea rooms, and a shop. The bus service around the island is decent if you don't want to drive. You can get a small ferry from the jetty here across to the Holy Isle.
For things to see, King's Cave is nearby, and the standing stones at Machrie Moor are about a half hour drive. The island's good for wildlife. You might see otters, red deer, or seals. There are plenty of walks.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. You can park on site.
