Tides Reach is a bungalow on the edge of Lamlash on Arran. It's detached, so you're on your own. The main thing is the view. You look straight out across the bay to Holy Isle. Every room at the front gets that view.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. The layout is all on one level except for three steps down into the sunken living area. There are no stairs.
The living room has a wood burner. Doors lead out to a decked balcony at the side. It gets the afternoon sun. The garden is mainly lawn, with a bench. You can park a couple of cars on the gravel drive.
Lamlash itself is about a five or ten minute walk. There's a Co-op for groceries, a few places to eat, and a couple of pubs. The pier is there if you want to get the ferry over to Holy Isle. You often see seals from the shore.
If you want to explore, Brodick is about ten minutes by car. That's where the main ferry comes in. Brodick Castle is there, which is National Trust for Scotland. You can walk sections of the Arran Coastal Way from Lamlash itself, or drive to other starting points. For a bigger walk, Goat Fell is the mountain you see from everywhere. The path starts from Brodick.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring them. No pets, sorry.
