Carraig Dhubh North is a cottage in Whiting Bay on Arran. It's one of a pair, but it's got its own enclosed garden. The view from the front is across the fields out to the sea.
It sleeps five, which is two rooms: a twin downstairs and a big room upstairs with a kingsize and a single bed. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well set up.
The stairs are the main quirk. They're a traditional cottage staircase, so they're quite steep and turn a corner. Fine for most, but worth knowing.
Whiting Bay has a shop, a pub, and a couple of cafes, all within walking distance. The beach is sandy and about a 20 minute walk down the road.
For getting out, you're right on the island's coast road. Goat Fell is about a 25 minute drive for walking. Brodick Castle is the same. The National Trust for Scotland has all the details for that. Lamlash is the next village south if you want a bigger shop.
It says luxury, which mostly means it's a bit nicer and newer inside. You've got a washing machine, wifi, parking, and all your bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
