Carraig Dhubh Cottage is in Whiting Bay, on the Isle of Arran. It's a detached cottage overlooking the shore.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other has full-sized bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower, no bath. You'll get bedding and towels.
Inside it's open plan, so the kitchen, dining and living area are all one room. There's a washing machine. The WiFi works fine. It's a comfortable set up, and you can sit on the sofa and look out at the sea.
Outside you've got your own patio with a small garden and a barbecue. Parking is right there.
You can take up to two dogs. They're welcome.
The place is rated 4 Star. It means everything's in good order and it's well kept.
Whiting Bay itself is quiet. There's a village shop and a couple of cafes. The pub is about a five minute walk. The beach is shingle and sand, and you can walk down to it from the cottage in a few minutes.
If you want to see more of Arran, you can drive to Brodick in about twenty minutes. That's where the castle is. The mountain, Goat Fell, is there too if you're up for a hike. The main road goes right around the island, so you can get to most places within half an hour.
In terms of facilities, it has all the basics covered. The view is the main thing.
