This newly renovated, spacious bungalow offers an ideal base for couples and families to explore the area. The property has a detached garage, ideal for keeping mountain bikes and surf boards. There is also an enclosed garden with patio, ideal for chilling on after a day at the beach. The property is conveniently located near local shops and along the bus route, and there are plenty of walks or mountain bike rides only minutes away from the bungalow, with the local fishing lake at Carn Marth Quarry just a 15 minute walk away. Should you wish to venture a little further, Falmouth and Porthtowan beach’s are less than a 15 minute’s drive away.

Lanner is 2 miles south east of Redruth, and there is a local shop just a few minutes’ walk away, ideal for last minute essentials. There is also a pub and fish and chip shop if you don’t want to cook. There are two old quarries in the village which are ideal for fishing and both are in walking distance from the bungalow. The area has a mining history and is surrounded by disused engine houses, why not visit the King Edward Mine Museum where you will see restored machinery as well as an indoor exhibition? Heartlands is a free to enter tourist attraction great for all ages, as is the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site in Cornwall. Set in 19 acres, it offers a playground for children, five unique gardens and state of the art exhibitions, as well as a café, great for wet as well as sunny days.

For those that enjoy walking, The Great Flat Lode is a 7-mile circular walk that can also be cycled, you can walk or cycle from the property along the road and meet the start of the trail, a wonderful way to wear out your children. A popular area to visit is Carn Brea, reaching up to 738 feet above sea level and where you can see both Redruth and Camborne. You will also see Carn Brea Castle, originally an Elizabethan hunting lodge it is now a restaurant.

The closest beach is Portreath just over 6 miles away. Ideal for families, it offers amenities as well as a café, and has plenty of parking. You can cycle from Portreath to Bissoe and back, bikes can be hired locally. The area is great for water sports. Stithians Lake is just over 4 miles away and has excellent facilities, including lessons and equipment hire. For those wanting a more sedate hobby, golf and fishing locations are within 5 miles of the property. At the end of the day, chill in the garden watching the stars.
