Nelsons Retreat is tucked away down a quiet lane. It is south facing with fantastic rural views across the valley and an immaculate garden which has mature trees and shrubs and paths that wind through them, decked areas, sun loungers and seating at sporadic points where you can bask in the sun or relax in the dappled shade. The house itself has a decked balcony outside the sunroom with a canopy glass ceiling and sliding doors which open out onto the balcony. Inside is a large open plan living area with electric reclining chairs large Freeview TV and a galley kitchen. There are two bedrooms, and the master has fantastic views and French windows that open onto another large balcony. The second bedroom has a zip and link bed which can be made up into a double or a twin for total flexibility. Nelsons Retreat is dog friendly, and you are welcome to bring your well-behaved family pet who may well enjoy the 10-minute walk from the door up to Carn Marth.
Lanner is nestled in the heart of Cornwall’s Tin Mining area with the archetypal derelict engine houses scattered around the tops of heather strewn hills. This is a fabulous central location with easy access to the lifeguard patrolled golden beaches of Porthtowan. Portreath and St Agnes are a short drive away on the north coast. In contrast, on the south coast, you can explore Mounts Bay, the rugged Lizard peninsula with its quaint fishing villages, magnificent promontories and secluded coves, the vibrant fishing harbour of Falmouth with restaurants and traditional pubs or the bustling cathedral city, and capital of Cornwall, Truro. There are plenty of things to do come rain or shine, and Nelsons Retreat will be that perfect base for your wonderful holiday. Beach 7¼ miles.
