Higher Tregidden lies in a secluded valley to the south of the Helford River on the Lizard Peninsula. The Lizard is unique - an ancient and mysterious place where dramatic coastline, beautiful sandy beaches and rocky coves edge the rural landscape. Here you are within a few miles of the Helford River, Lizard Point and many fabulous beaches - true Poldark country and easy access to Falmouth, St Ives and Lands End. The ideal place to escape to for a holiday.
James’ Cottage and Cob Cottage at Higher Tregidden are beautiful, traditional Cornish cottages with thick walls, beamed ceilings and loads of character. Accessible through a private drive, the cottages have an authentic, homely, cosy feel and are great places to relax in while on holiday. Both the cottages have three bedrooms. They both have their own outside spaces, but guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the surrounding 7 acres ground which includes a meadow, orchard, and woodland. A fun place for children to run around! The owner also has a large pizza oven and will fire it up on arrangement. The large fire pit is available to guests who can enjoy sitting around in the evenings and cooking their locally sourced meat and fish on the large grills.
There is a shared, large games room complete with table tennis table, a TV for playing DVDs and a wood burner. This dog friendly property has easy going owners that own very friendly golden retrievers that are used to guests petting them. Many guests, particularly the kids, also enjoy helping to feed our dog friendly sheep, pigs, and poultry.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 11 guests.
