Sunshine Cottage

Sunshine Cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard, it has an open plan, double aspect kitchen, living room and diner. Spacious accommodation which blends a contemporary feel, traditional features and a stunning first floor, south facing, private, sun balcony. There is a master bedroom upstairs with views of the town slipway with dinghies nestled at the top of the tide. On the ground floor are two further bedrooms a family shower room and a utility room.
Due to its position, Flushing is said to be one of the warmest villages in the United Kingdom. The beaches at Kiln are extremely popular in the summer months, offering superb views of Falmouth Docks, the Carrick Roads and St. Anthony’s Head. Flushing Regatta Week is held annually during late July or early August, and features water-based activities such as bathtub racing, rowing, swimming and sailing races, sandcastle building contests, a mini-marathon through Mylor and Flushing, an open-air church service, a pub quiz, crab catching and a carnival on Saturday night, and has achieved marked popularity locally.
Located just along the front from the Town Quay where there is a regular foot ferry to the bustling port of Falmouth, here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Just 5 minutes’ walk away are Custom House Quay, Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are also regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro.
