Meadow View is a stunning cottage, with beautiful decor and immaculate furnishings in a lovely, tranquil development on the outskirts of Grampound. The cottage is open plan on the ground floor with sumptuous seating and stunning decor; there is a well-equipped kitchen, great for cooking up a storm and plenty of space to spread out and relax after a busy day exploring. The owner has an eye for detail, and this can be seen with the level of finish throughout the property. Upstairs, the two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are no exception with comfortable beds and soothing décor. The family bathroom is clean, clear and inviting. A delightful garden to the rear of the property provides the perfect location for an alfresco meal, barbecue, or an evening glass of wine.
Grampound is an ancient crossing point of the Fal River, and the original bridge was built towards the end of the 13th century. There is a local store for buying essentials and a fantastic pub which also serves food, both within walking distance of the cottage. The cathedral city of Truro is a 15-minute drive to the west with its quaint cobbled streets and a fine variety cafes and restaurants. Truro Cathedral dominates the skyline of the only City in Cornwall, set on the original St Mary’s Church site. There is a wonderful range of shopping for the visitor including all the regular high street stores, and a wide range of more specialist stores. It really is worth a wander through the back streets and alleys to find some fabulous little boutiques.
The Roseland Peninsula is just to the south, and the picturesque holiday destinations of St Mawes and Portscatho should be experienced, as should Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. To the east lies China Clay country, St Austell and the world-renowned Eden Project. This is a superb base from which to explore this gorgeous county. Beach ⅓ mile.
