Penmeva House sits above the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey and is just a short walk downhill to the bustling village centre and harbour. You can buy local produce in a number of farm shops surrounding the village. Mevagissey is ideally situated on the south coast meaning you can tour this great county with ease. There are many beautiful gardens, including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the world-famous Eden Project and Caaehays Castle and Garden all a short drive away.
The historic port of Charlestown, one of the settings of TV drama ‘Poldark’ is nearby, as is the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. There really is no shortage of things to do in this impressive part of Cornwall. An off-road cycle and walking trail with bike hire can be found nearby in Pentewan, that leads to the town of St. Austell. Horse riding, canoeing, boat trips and walking are all catered for locally.
