Roseland Cottage

Tregony is known as ’The Gateway to the Roseland Peninsula’ and this lovely cottage is perfect for exploring this most beautiful part of Cornwall. It has some of the best beaches in the whole of the UK including Pendower and Carne beach. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are close by. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a huge wealth of hidden coves and picturesque fishing villages. It has wonderful woodland and coastal walks alongside the world class sailing facilities of St Mawes and Mylor. Tregony has a wealth of history and was once a thriving port on the River Fal. It has a great public house with restaurant, a mini-market, post office, art gallery, hairdressers and a sports and social club and church. There’s a regular fresh fish delivery service, fish and chip van and wood fired pizza outlet in the village.
Roseland Cottage is well placed to get to Truro, Cornwall’s capital. It has everything you would expect from a modern city with great shopping and entertainment, as well as a vibrant artisan food and drink scene. There’s a four-screen cinema, art galleries, the Royal Cornwall Museum, and the newly restored Hall for Cornwall. At it’s centre is the iconic and beautiful cathedral which hosts major musical events. Adults and children can enjoy browsing the market stalls on Lemon Quay and the indoor Pannier market, and sampling the abundant choices of local food, arts and crafts and design in Lemon Street market. Tregony is perfectly placed to explore both the north and south coasts. Falmouth, reached by the King Harry car ferry, has prestigious marinas alongside its scenic harbour. This large seaside town has a stunning array of restaurants, cafés and independent shops. The National Maritime Museum, Events Square and Pendennis castle are open to the public daily with activities throughout the year. From the quay, you can take a boat trips across Carrick Roads to St Mawes, Flushing, Malpas and Helford. This area is famed for it’s beautiful sub-tropical gardens including Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick. Padstow, Fowey, Looe, Polperro, St Ives, Port Isaac and even Penzance are all within easy reach.
