Welcome to Tresweeta, a beautiful four-bedroom property sleeping six in the village of Kuggar on the Lizard Peninsula within walking distance of Kennack Sands beach. Overlooking countryside with views of the sea in the distance, it is the perfect holiday retreat for families, half a mile from the beach and close to the post office and local stores.
Hang your coats up and leave your shoes in the porch, so you can benefit from underfloor heating in the hall warming your toes. Downstairs is a cloakroom, open plan living with a wood burning stove, leading to the kitchen/dining area. French doors lead out to the rear courtyard from the kitchen, where children can play. Downstairs has flagstone flooring; underfloor heating is only in the hall; the first floor has polished oak floorboards and slate flooring in the bathroom.
The Lizard is an Area of Outstanding Beauty, the beaches are popular with families, sheltered from the wind and warmer than those on the west coast, a favourite for those that want to learn to surf or for surfers when it is too windy elsewhere. A 5-minute walk takes you to Cadgwith Cove, a great place to explore, children love to play on the shingle beach and paddle in the water; when you’re here grab an ice cream or pop into the local pub for refreshment. The most southerly point of the UK is Lizard Point, where you can wander down to the lighthouse, then head towards the beach passing the discussed lifeboat station, there are choices for refreshments along the way.
For walkers and nature enthusiasts this is the area, known for its wide range of flora, fauna, and wildlife. For sporting enthusiasts, Mullion has an exceptional golf course, you can learn to dive or surf at Kennack Sands and horse ride at Newton Equestrian, whilst historians will love the market town of Helston. After a busy day out and about, cosy up in front of the wood burner, or sit in the garden and admire the stars and plan the next day.
