In the heart of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall’s south coast lies the sleepy hamlet of Treworga. Situated within a 5-minute drive of Pendower Beach and within 15 minutes of the beautiful harbour village of St Mawes, this rural retreat is the perfect medicine for rest and relaxation.
Toadstools is a truly iconic Cornish cottage with pretty stone walls and a quite delightful south facing private garden which is a real sun trap. Boasting huge amounts of character, this lovely cottage benefits from beamed ceilings, a cosy living room with a wood burner and a great farmhouse style kitchen. Upstairs are two stylishly decorated bedrooms; one double room with a kingsize bed and one twin room. You will also find the bathroom here, relax in the tub at the end of a busy day. A beautifully presented separate annexe which has been converted to provide an additional double bedroom with exposed beams and its own en-suite shower room. This makes the cottage a perfect place for two couples to stay.
Treworga is 1. 5 miles from the peaceful little village of Ruan Lanihorne which sits close to the lowest bridging point over the River Fal. Ruan Lanihorne is a charming village with an historic church dating from the 14th Century and a superb pub. Venture across the bridge towards the magnificent Lamorran Woods and you will undoubtedly see an abundance of wildlife with waders and waterfowl inhabiting the tidal marshes. It is a haven for those wanting to explore and get off the beaten track, yet within easy reach of many attractions. There is an excellent pub at the nearby village of Philleigh, which serves good food. The city of Truro is about a 25 minute drive and has some superb shopping. Beach 3 miles.
