The busy harbour provides safe haven to ships of all sizes and provides breath-taking views both inland along the estuary and out to sea. Explore the narrow streets with their array of boutique shops, excellent restaurants and pubs and delightful architecture at every turn.
Venture further afield along the coast to the harbour town of Looe and nearby Polperro, forever linked to tales of smuggling and wrecking from times past. There are many walks within the area, with spectacular vistas from cliffs, woodland and moorland, the nearest of which is Bodmin, an atmospheric place with mind-boggling stone structures and stone circles too. The iconic Eden Project is a short drive away, an amazing experience beneath giant Biomes including the world’s largest indoor rainforest. There is something for all ages here, the only dilemma will be where to go next for another great adventure.
