Hollowtree Cottage is an adorable 200-year-old Cornish cottage, full of character and is superbly situated close to Portreath and Porthtowan and stunning beaches. The cottage is entered via a small pedestrian gate leading into the gorgeous, enclosed garden. Enjoy al fresco dining in the enclosed garden during the summer. There is a generous sized porch and inside is full of character, with thick stone walls, wood burners and low beamed ceilings. The dining room has a wood burner and leads through to the fully fitted kitchen. The family bathroom leads off the kitchen to one side. The comfortable sitting room with a further wood burner is to the other side of the cottage with a double bedroom located to the rear. Upstairs, there is a twin bedroom and a good-sized master bedroom. Hollowtree really is a little secret hideaway, and will appeal to families, friends and couples alike, whatever the season.
Hollowtree is also convenient for the main A30 which means guests can explore this beautiful county with ease. The cottage is located along a short country lane just off the main road to Porthtowan. Porthtowan beach boasts some of the best surf in Cornwall with a fantastic sandy beach and facilities, including an excellent surf school. Occupying a dramatic valley location with one of the most spectacular and beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Coast, Porthtowan has been drawing visitors for years to take advantage of its natural sun trap. Portreath offers the pleasures of sea and countryside with beautiful views, spectacular cliffs and walking trails. Illogan Woods is adjacent to Portreath with lovely streams and a circular walk leading to the 14th century church tower of Illogan. It is ideal for swimming, surfing and windsailing. Beach 2½ miles.
