Ball Cottage

Ball Cottage has an interesting past, once a sawmill and with its original Listed hand water pump still visible across the lane. Quirky and oozing with character, this spacious property accommodates six guests in comfort. Once inside, this light and airy space reveals a well-equipped kitchen including a Range oven, dining room and spacious living room, with super-comfy sofas and chairs, complete with open fire, perfect to snuggle up in front of if the weather outside is a little inclement! There are three bedrooms, two twin rooms and a double master with en-suite shower, whilst the lovely family bathroom has a bath with shower over. There is a useful utility room with washing machine/tumble dryer/freezer on the ground floor. Outside is a charming courtyard garden with seating whilst to the rear of the cottage there is a handy storage area for bikes and surf boards.

The pretty village of Little Petherick lies just a few miles from the spectacular beach at Harlyn Bay and the busy fishing port of Padstow, renowned for its celebrity chef inspired restaurants, serving gorgeous culinary delights; boutique shops and galleries. From here, hire a bicycle and take the delightful Camel Trail to the market town of Wadebridge, passing through woodland, riverside and seascapes, or simply meander through the narrow streets or watch the busy little harbour with its small fishing fleet and pleasure boats.

The vistas from Pentire Point and Trevose Head along the Heritage Coast are sublime, whilst a short trip northward will bring you to Port Isaac, the ‘home’ of Doc Martin and where whitewashed cottages lead down to a small harbour and beach. Watersports are popular along this part of Cornwall, from surfing to swimming in the turquoise waters of the Celtic Sea; indeed, for sheer beauty, this stretch of the British Isles has much to offer, whether you wish to recharge and re-invigorate or just relax and breath in that Cornish Sea air!

The vibrant town of Newquay lies to the south-west, with its many bars and restaurants, zoo and all-weather aquarium. Take surfing lessons from the many schools here, as you choose any one of the twelve beaches to explore.
