Refurbished in on the ground floor in 2022, and the bedrooms and new carpets laid on the first floor in 2022, Tantallon is located only a few minutes’ drive from the harbour village of St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula. Located in a commanding position on the edge of the sleepy village of St Just in Roseland, Tantallon benefits from outstanding panoramic views of St Just Creek. From almost all the rooms, you can look down upon the historic churchyard at St Just in Roseland and at the boats gently swinging on their moorings in the creek.
Tantallon offers accommodation for up to seven over two floors in the main house and a studio in a separate annexe which sleeps a further two people. All the rooms in the house are immaculately presented. The living room is a particularly relaxing place to be and has a selection of very comfortable chairs where you can relax and look out on the boats in the estuary, along with a wood burner to keep you cosy in the winter. The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen is a perfect place to cook up a holiday feast. The comfortable master bedroom with super kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom is located on the ground floor, along with a family bathroom and further shower room. The first floor has three stylishly decorated bedrooms, one double room, one twin room and one single room, all bathrooms on this floor have basins and there is a separate toilet. Completing this property is the annexe with double bed, en-suite, and its own kitchenette.
The garden is spacious and benefits from a huge rear patio area for the morning sunshine and a deck area to the front for afternoon and evening sun. The whole site is shielded from the road by a high hedgerow and therefore is particularly private and quiet.
The harbour village of St Mawes is literally one mile to the south, there are some delightful beaches within a mile, while the more well known beaches are approximately 1. 7 miles away, the whole of the Roseland Peninsula is on your doorstep. There is a selection of pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance, as well as various shops. Beach 1 mile.
