Welcome to The Coach House, a modern, reverse level property in the picturesque village of Mawnan Smith in the Southwest of Cornwall. This amazing house sleeps four in two bedrooms, and a travel cot allows for babies and toddlers. There are two separate bathrooms on the ground floor, one with a bath and separate shower the other with a shower, so there will be no problems in the morning.
The living area is upstairs making the most of the stunning views, large skylights in the roof allow light to flood this area, and at night time allows views of the fantastic skies. The wooden beams and floors add character to the property, whilst the large windows almost bring the outside in. The kitchen is well equipped if you don’t want to eat out all the time. At the rear of the living area are large doors that lead out on to the decked terrace. From here you have views of the sea and surrounding countryside, great for morning coffee, lunch or just having a drink and soaking in the surroundings. The large gardens are stunning with subtropical rare plants and fruit trees, great for children and dogs to run around whilst you relax on the garden furniture. There are tennis courts at the bottom of the garden that you are welcome to use, just bring your rackets and balls.
From the tennis courts there is a private footpath that takes you to Maenporth beach, it will take about 20 minutes, but a lovely walk at any time of the year. Mawnan Smith is a small village three miles from Falmouth, there is a lovely pub serving food, a local shop. Families will be spoilt for choice, there are beautiful beaches, Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth just 3¾ miles away, is a popular choice, parking, a lovely café serving hot and cold refreshments, toilets and life guarded during the summer. The beach is flat and sandy, next to it is a lovely garden and coastal walks to Maenporth and Swanpool other local beaches.
Falmouth is always a great day out, pop into the Maritime Museum they have fantastic attractions, wander around the harbour watching the boats and gig rowers, stop for ice-cream, cream tea, pasties or fish and chips, all a must on a trip to Cornwall. There are plenty of places to stop to eat and have refreshment when you are tired from shopping. If you want to experience history, then go and walk around Pendennis Castle next to Gyllynvase beach it was built by Henry VII. You can wander around the moat and along the coastal paths or if you want to look inside it is advisable to book tickets. The views of the Carrick Roads are stunning great for walkers of all abilities and popular with our four-legged friends. At the end of a busy day head home to relax and plan the next day’s adventure.
