Lower Deck at Melvill House is a recently refurbished ground floor apartment below the main house, and there is a shared drive. There is an open plan living kitchen and dining area, three bedrooms and an immaculate family bathroom, superb furnishings and tasteful decor throughout. Outside is a small private terrace area with a table and chairs and a kettle barbecue.
Melvill House is a 5-minute walk from a superb mix of attractions, pubs, restaurants and shops around the waterfront area. The highlight for many is Event Square, where the National Maritime Museum stands, superyachts are moored and there are various inviting eateries, including Rick Stein’s Restaurant with a fish & chip shop alongside. Not only very close to town Melvill House is even closer to the golden crescent of sand at Gyllyngvase beach, which is family-friendly, great for watersports and has lifeguard cover from May to September. Swanpool beach and boating park is just a bit further round the coast and is well worth visiting. If you feel a little more energetic, the stroll around Pendennis Point and Castle provides some of the finest views across the Carrick Roads to St Mawes and out across Falmouth Bay towards the Helford estuary.
Lower Deck At Melvill House can be booked with Melvill House to accommodate upto 18 guests. Beach 530 yards.
