Whim Cottage

Whim Cottage offers complete peace and tranquillity in a really convenient location and is one of the most comfortable properties available in this part of Cornwall. Sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor if stairs are a problem for a guest and one on the first floor that can be set up as either a twin or a double. The cottage also has the added benefit of three bath/shower rooms. The cottage has an open plan living space living space, yet is full of character with thick stone walls and a lovely big fireplace with a cosy wood burner at one end - perfect for those occasional stormy winter’s evenings! There is a good enclosed garden too, brilliant if you are bringing your furry friend.
The location is so convenient, just a 15-minute drive from either Falmouth or Truro, where you will find a great range of shops and a good selection of great restaurants to choose from. There as a famous and historic inn within walking distance and there is a small shingle beach a short walk down the hill from Whim Cottage. Lovely sandy beaches can be found at Gyllyngvase or Swanpool.
If you fancy some water sports, Mylor Yacht Harbour is a short drive away where you can launch boats, kayaks, windsurfers or paddle boards. The area is big cycling territory and the owners can provide you with some fabulous routes from the easy going to the strenuous! The Bissoe Cycle Trail is ideal for a trip to the north coast with the family. There are some wonderful walks to be had directly from the cottage, including the beautiful creekside and coastal walks to the local Inn, Mylor Bridge and further afield to Flushing and even Falmouth and St Mawes via ferries if you are so inclined! The cottage is also an great spot to stay if you are visiting those attending Falmouth University as it is just a short distance from the campus. Beach 7 miles.
