Peke-a-boo is a Grade 2 listed cottage in the centre of Penryn town, you access through a small lane from the main street, there is no parking at the property, but you can park on the double yellow lines with hazards on just to unpack. There are two public carparks, St Gluvias and Commercial Road both free between 16. 00 – 9. 00am.
This one-bedroom property has the benefit of having a bath with shower, a large bedroom, a cosy sitting room/dining area with a small kitchenette. There are three portable electric rings and a small oven as well as a microwave. There is access to a shared garden at the end of the cottages.
There is so much to see and do in this historic town, sit by the harbour, enjoy the woodland walks, walk around admiring the old buildings watching your step on the steep cobbled streets, find the old water pump in the secluded square and attractive clock tower. There are several cafés, restaurants, and pubs all within walking distance. A mile away is the town of Falmouth, walk around the narrow streets, find your way to the harbour, and eat fish and chips or have an ice-cream, you will be spoilt by the selection of small shops and will find plenty of souvenirs to take home. Visit the Maritime Museum, book a fishing trip, try diving there is so much to choose from. If you want to enjoy the coast, walk around Pendennis Castle, pass the Port Pendennis shipyard, take in the air at sandy Gyllynvase beach, stop at the café for a hot meal or a drink and admire the view.
The next town is Helston home of the famous Furry Dance, walk around cobbled streets with the famous canals, visit the museum and enjoy the boating lake. On wet days why not go to Flambards theme park where you can see an entire Victorian village, visit the Blitz and a host of other exhibitions as well as enjoying the gardens and the rides. If you are going to be here for longer catch the King Harry Ferry from Truro to St Mawes an idyllic day out regardless of the weather or travel to see the Biomes at the Eden Project in St Austell. You really don’t need to go far to enjoy the beautiful beaches and nearby walks, then come back and relax in this cosy traditional Cornish cottage.
