Fulmar Cottage is lovely former fisherman’s cottage located in the heart of one of Cornwalls famous fishing villages. There are sea views from the front windows where you can lie in bed and watch the fishing boats heading out to sea. Fulmar Cottage is arranged over three levels providing flexible accommodation, while overlooking the picturesque harbour where fishing vessels which are still active. Mevagissey was once the centre of the pilchard industry on the South Coast and most of the quaint cottages around the harbour were originally built during these times. The local pub is only mere 30 yards down the road from the front door and is the oldest pub in the village dating from the 15th century. Mevagissey is a thriving village with a great variety of further pubs, independent shops and restaurants.
There is plenty to see and do with The Lost Gardens of Heligan on an 8-minute drive away and only 30 minutes drive to the Eden Project, Mevagissey provides a excellent location for the keen gardener. Gorran Haven nearby offers an alternative day out as well as Pentewan with its fresh water dock basin. You can continue south along the coast down to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove. Cliff walks in all directions along the coast offer spectacular views out across the St Austell Bay. Pub 30 yards. Several beach within 2 miles.
