Welcome to Dingles Cottage, a perfect retreat for multi-generational holidays situated on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. The property has four bedrooms to accommodate four adults and 3 children. It offers stunning views of the South Cornish coast. The reverse level living makes the most of the stunning views, with a huge open plan living, dining, kitchen area with French doors leading to two balconies’ overlooking the garden. There is a separate lounge great for entertaining youngsters with toys, books and DVDs. The kitchen is equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible; the wood burner is great for relaxing in front of on a cold evening. Downstairs are the four bedrooms, two with ensuite and a family bathroom. In the garage is a games room with table tennis, dart board and gym.
You really do not need to travel far, sit in the garden soaking up the sunshine and enjoy the countryside views. The patio has a picnic area with a fire pit ideal for watching the stars late at night, and in the day relax whilst the children run around the lawned area. There are three beaches nearby, Pendower is a 10 minute stroll through fields, this is a sandy beach with lots of rock pools to explore and paddle in. Portcurnick Beach at Gerrans is a small, sheltered bay home to popular Hidden Hut. This shack built before the war has become renowned for its seasonal salads, grilled fish in spring/summer and in the winter replaced by chowders and spiced dhal.
For those with a sweet tooth, local ice-cream, and home-made cakes it is all take away. St Mawes is 11-minute drive, built around the harbour the beach is long and sandy, on the other side is the small village with a selection of shops, cafes. Famous for its boat trips and the St Mawes Ferry connecting this old-world fishing harbour with the maritime port of Falmouth, it really is a great day out, pass St Mawes and Pendennis Castles, the working docks at Falmouth and may be spot a seal or dolphin. Wander around the cobbled streets of Falmouth, visit the National Maritime Museum, sit in Events Square for refreshment there is so much choice for places to eat and drink, there will be something to suit everyone. There is a wide selection of shops and galleries great for picking up gifts to take home.
Truro the Capital of Cornwall is 12 miles away, dominated by the impressive Cathedral known as a foodie destination, with lots of independent shops surrounded by beautiful gardens and rivers. From here you can discover the three rivers The River Fowey, The River Kennal and the Carrick Roads you can book tours online. For rail enthusiasts catch the Maritime link from Truro to Falmouth. Due to our mild climate and the fact that Cornwall is open all year round there is always plenty to do and see, after a busy day head back to the solitude of the property to relax and unwind ready to plan the next day’s outing. Unfortunately, the property does not accept pets. The owner will only allow maximum of 4 adults and three children, families only, extended families welcome.
