Falmouth is a short drive away, and here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Explore the town from Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay to Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip, with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro. From the property, you can explore The Lizard Peninsula where you can find the majestic lighthouse at England’s most southerly headland. The Lizard is also home to the stunning Kynance Cove or you can head for the quiet of the Helford River, the inspiration for Daphne Du Maurier’s Frenchmans Creek, plus the beautiful Glendurgan and Trebah gardens that both lead down to the riverside.
