Lane’s Cottage at The Old School House Holiday Cottages is a charming cottage with stunning sea views over the Cornish coast. It sits in the idyllic countryside and provides a peaceful space to escape the stresses of everyday life. The beautiful and cosy living area has a roaring open fire to keep you warm in the winter and the large patio doors let in the cool air and light during the summer months. There are three traditional bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, providing a snug retreat at the end of an enjoyable day. The best part about a holiday at The School House, however, is the peace and quiet, birds singing, waves crashing in the distance and perhaps the faint rumble of a tractor working the fields, you will find yourself revitalised in no time.
The scenery down at the beach with its surrounding majestic cliffs is almost unrivalled. At high tide, the beach is a mass of quartz-veined pebbles and large boulders but at low tide, it reveals an expanse of sand and many rock pools. Only the road separates the sea from a couple of beach shops, two superb beach cafes and a public house with a restaurant and a fantastic terrace. As you travel down the coastline, you can visit quaint coastal villages such as Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac, the latter offering a range of fantastic restaurants where you can enjoy the freshest and most delicious fish.
Bude is 15-minutes away, a popular tourist destination for both its surfing and fantastic family beaches in Widemouth Bay. The watchful eye of the RNLI lifeguards allows for some of the best surfing in the world alongside swimming and a whole host of water-based activities. Bude today is a lovely seaside town, the main shopping streets and inter-connecting alleyways play host to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants and pubs. There are boutiques, shoes, arts and crafts, jewellery, hand-made gifts and souvenirs. Beach 1 mile.
Lane’s Cottage can be booked together with The School House and Francis Cottage to accommodate up to 13 guests.
