Conveniently located 14 miles from Barnstaple with its many cafés and restaurants, Queens Theatre, cinema, leisure centre, tennis centre and an indoor trampoline centre. The popular port town of Bideford is just 5½ miles away. Peppercombe is secretly known as one of the best beaches in North Devon. The walk through the valley and woods to the beach are owned by the National Trust and is everything you would expect to find in Devon. The beach is largely pebbled, though at low tide a sandy beach appears.
Visit Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, and the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages all with awe-inspiring scenery. If stunning beaches are your thing, then the region will leave you spoilt for choice with several beaches, all within easy reach by car. The fantastic Southwest Coastal Path runs through the region’s rugged coastline and is perfect for walkers and view seekers. And the popular Tarka Trail can be accessed nearby and provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line on foot or by bicycle allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and river scenery.
