Hyford Wood is a spacious and luxurious detached house overlooking woods in a peaceful location with reverse-style accommodation on two floors. With the full-length vaulted ceiling on the first floor, the open plan living space gives a lovely airy feeling of space. On this floor there’s a Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and DVD player, and a cosy wood burner for cooler evenings, with the first basket of logs included. The kitchen area benefits from quality Neff appliances including an induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s also a stocked drinks cabinet and a coffee machine for fresh morning brews out on the patio. We also supply a welcome pack that is full of delicious treats including chocolate, biscuits, fruit and alcohol just to name a few. There is also some fudge in there from a local business which is delicious.
On the ground floor is where the bedrooms are. There’s a super king with en-suite shower room and patio doors leading straight out to where the hot tub is, a twin with zip and link beds that can be made up as a super king on request, a kingsize and a double. All rooms have a Smart TV and quality Harrison Spinks beds, and there’s also a family bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle on this floor.
Step outside and enjoy a lovely triple tiered patio garden, with one at the front where you can have a peaceful drink, and two at the rear where you’ll find a luxurious 8-seater hot tub and even a quality outdoor shower, plus plenty furniture so you can sit, lounge, and dine. There’s also the added bonus of a fantastic wood-fired BBQ and firepit. Parking is available on the gated front drive for up to four cars.
Bideford is the second largest town in North Devon with plenty to see and do with a lovely river front and port. Beaches, such as Westward Ho! and Instow are firm local favourites and are less than 3 and 4 miles away respectively, and the Southwest Coastal Path is a must for keen walkers and runners as is the popular Tarka Trail, which stretches for about 180 miles and can be accessed nearby. Swimming, surfing, canoeing and entertainment for all the family plus fishing are all close by and the for a day with a difference why not take a trip across to Lundy Island? With regular trips from Bideford, you can enjoy the home to England’s first statutory Marine Nature Reserve, due to its unique flora and fauna. Measuring just 3 miles by ¾ mile, this entire island has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Westward Ho!, the nearest coastal village, offers an array of seaside amenities including some fascinating curiosity shops and a range of restaurants and cafés.
