Enjoy acres of glorious countryside at this beautiful two-bedroom barn conversion which can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Pignut Barn is bursting with character and luxury with state of the art facilities including a cinema projector screen, tennis court, Wi-Fi, Sky TV and EV charger. Inside the barn is light and spacious with a spiral staircase to the first floor.
The property is peacefully located 1 ½ miles away from the pretty village of North Molton on the southern edge of Exmoor National Park and it is a great base for exploring all North Devon has to offer, including sandy beaches less than an hour’s drive away.
As you enter the property, head into the kitchen/dining room, which is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, under-counter fridge, coffee pod machine and a washing machine. The dining table is a great spot to enjoy a home cooked meal whilst planning your next day’s adventures. The living room is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, a yellow Everhot electric stove for those cosy winter evenings, a Smart Freeview TV with Sky and a large cinema projector screen. The cinematic system was put together to a very high specification by a home theatre specialist and allows high definition video from Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, TV or internet streaming to be projected onto the 3. 5m wall-mounted screen accompanied by 8-speaker hi-fi surround sound. The vaulted beamed ceilings and the gallery landing area on the first floor make the room feel bright and spacious.
As the evening draws to a close, head up the spiral staircase and drift off to sleep within one of the two well-presented bedrooms which each have a kingsize bed. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, heated towel rail, toilet and sink.
After a busy day exploring the area, step into the fully enclosed garden which has a fire pit, charcoal BBQ, and sun loungers. This outdoor space is a real suntrap, and it is a great spot for enjoying your morning coffee. Guests have access to an all weather tennis court opposite the property with a selection of tennis rackets and balls available. Guests can also explore 20 acres of private farmland with a woodland, river, meadows, and amazing wildlife. The River Mole is accessed within a couple of minute walk from the farm and it has a great footpath alongside it which leads to Exmoor.
The nearby village of North Molton is a short distance from the A361 link road and only 3 miles from the market town of South Molton. The village has a great local pub and a village shop/ post office. Barnstaple is just 15 miles away and Tiverton 16 miles. Keen walkers should head to Exmoor National Park which is just a 20-minute drive away and the beautiful North Devon coastline is within a 30-minute drive.
To the north you have the beautiful sandy beaches at Combe Martin, Croyde and Woolacombe and a collection of pretty fishing villages and towns such as Clovelly, Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock. To the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe with its pebbled beaches and Exmouth with its various water sports on offer. For those looking for an adventure, then you must discover the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor which are renowned for their changing landscape, stunning views and rugged, wide-open spaces.
