Puddington is an attractive small village situated in the heart of rural mid Devon, about nine miles from the town of Tiverton and eight miles from Crediton. There are some fantastic local pubs within four miles of the cottage and a good range of shops, services and supermarkets in Tiverton, which also provides easy access to the North Devon link road and Tiverton Parkway train station.
This part of Devon is an excellent touring base with easy access to lots of places of interest. Nearby you can explore the Two Moors Way, visit RHS Rosemoor, The Grand Western Canal, Knightshayes House or the breathtaking scenery at Exmoor National Park, a short drive away. There are plenty of National Trust properties in the area, as well as some fabulous villages and farm shops. The accommodation is set midway between Devon’s two coastlines, convenient for a day out to either. The award-winning North Devon coastline, with its golden sandy surfing beaches, is within a 50-minute drive and the Jurassic South Devon coastal beauty spots are within an hour’s drive.
