Estuary Reach is a beautiful three-bedroom holiday home in the coastal town of Exmouth, with plenty of parking, a south facing garden and distant views of the estuary. This retreat feels light, bright, and spacious and it is the perfect base for six guests to enjoy a relaxing break with the sea, moors, and Jurassic coastline within easy reach. The two-mile sandy beach and the town centre are just a six-minute drive away or a 30-minute walk.
As you enter the property, you will be welcomed into the cosy living room which has two comfortable sofas, a smart TV and a dining table and chairs. Wind down and watch a film here after a busy day exploring the coastline. The living room then leads into the conservatory which is a great suntrap with seating and a small desk, and this opens out to the balcony with an outdoor dining set of furniture and a parasol. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal, including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, and a fridge/ freezer. The hallway leads to the three double bedrooms and the shower room which has a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, and a sink. Outside, guests will enjoy use of the south-facing garden which has a lawn, a pond which is fenced in and a decked area with outdoor seating, a firepit and a charcoal barbeque; a great spot for enjoying your morning coffee.
Exmouth has a two-mile sandy beach and offers excellent water sports facilities including sailing, power boating, water skiing, jet skiing, wake and paddle boarding, wind or kite surfing and canoeing. Coastal and estuary cruises operate from the dock and charter boats are available for fishing trips. From November to February, the Exe Estuary is home for some 20, 000 migratory birds and the red sandstone cliffs of Orcombe Point at the eastern end of the beach are designated the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The pebbled heathlands of East Devon, abundant wildlife, rare plants, and splendid panoramic views are only a few minutes’ drive from the property and the Southwest coast path is nearby.
Keen hikers should head to Dartmoor National Park with is just a 40-minute drive away and the quintessential East Devon coastal towns and villages of Budleigh Salterton, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Seaton are within easy reach. Popular attractions include Crealey Park, Bicton Gardens, and the World of Country Life. Wander around the stunning grounds of Powderham Castle or the National Trust’s 16-sided country house of A la Ronde. Take a day trip to the cathedral city of Exeter exploring the Underground Passages, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Exeter Castle before delighting in lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants and cafés within this bustling town centre.
