The river is a two-minute walk away at Galmpton Creek, leading to National Trust land at Agatha Christie’s home of Greenway and the South West Coast Path. The beach at Broadsands is a 15-minute walk away and the bus stop is just a 10-minute walk away where public transport links are excellent. The nearby town of Brixham is a hidden gem. Situated at the southern end of Torbay, it has a quintessential harbour with colourful, hillside fishermen’s cottages overlooking the water and fishing boats coming in to land their catch. In the harbour you will find the Golden Hind, a replica of Sir Francis Drake’s galleon, now a museum, which sits alongside all the working trawlers that form one of the largest fishing fleets in the country. Beach 1¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
