This part of the Devon coastline is known as the English Riveria and has some excellent local beaches. You will be staying in the ideal place for exploring the South Devon, with its many attractions including Paignton Zoo, Living Coasts, Babbacombe Model Village and several National Trust gems nearby.
If you want to go further afield and are feeling adventurous, then the edge of Dartmoor is only a 20-minute drive away or by rail, the train station is less than a 5 minute walk away. Dartmoor National Park has open moorlands, deep river valleys, free ranging sheep and cows, and of course the famous Dartmoor Ponies. You can discover its granite tors, follow its many walks or seek out its Bronze Age settlements. There’s so much to see and do in the local area that you will want to come back time and time again.
