Ridgeway bungalow is set on a quiet lane in a residential area of Maidencombe in Torquay. Nestled away and looking out onto the countryside fields; the property gives the feeling of relaxation, a great choice for a quiet break or for the wonderful nearby walks and has off road parking for two cars.
As you enter there are bedrooms to your left and right both facing the front of the property. Bright and airy, boasting bay windows in both, one of which being a double bedroom and the other containing twin single zip and link beds which can be attached together to form a super kingsize bed.
The bathroom contains both a bath and a separate shower enclosure as well as a storage cupboard with essentials for your stay. The kitchen next door is fully equipped with built in appliances and plenty of cupboard space. There is a dining room with table and chairs and large dresser for guests to use if wanting to all eat together or potentially host a dinner. This is separate from the living room next door which is flooded with light via the large sliding door leading out onto the raised rear patio area; a great space for relaxing with that early morning coffee before a day out exploring. This property does not offer Wi-Fi but there is good 4G mobile telephone coverage in this area.
Ridgeway is situated halfway between the popular St. Marychurch/Babbacombe areas of Torquay and the also very popular towns of Shaldon and Teignmouth. Both easily accessible via car and a close by bus stop with regular routes to both. There is so much to see and do whether that be in Torquay itself or the surrounding areas making up the English Riviera and South Hams as a whole. Whatever the reason for your stay, Ridgeway is certainly a cosy and comfortable base to start.
Maidencombe beach including its café is only ¾ mile away. This is also the location of the nearest pub to the property. This location allows easy access to the South West Coastal Path which has some stunning coastal views between Maidencombe and Shaldon.
1½ miles inland is the quaint village of Stokenteignhead where you will find another pub and a small general store. There is a nice circular walk through either country lanes and/or woodland. Stagecoach Bus route 22 passes the end of the road with routes to St Marychurch, Shaldon and beyond.
