Nadder Lodge is a spacious three-bedroom holiday home, tucked away within the grounds of the owners home, on the outskirts of the historic cathedral city of Exeter in the hamlet of Nadderwater. Exeter is just a 5 minute drive away, Dartmoor National Park is within a 20 minute drive and the beaches at Teignmouth, Exmouth and Dawlish can be reached within 30 minutes. The property feels bright and welcoming with underfloor heating throughout. Head into the large open plan kitchen, dining area and living area. The kitchen is well equipped with two electric ovens, an electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/ freezer, wine fridge and a washing machine. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8 guests and a Smart TV with Freeview. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating, an electric fire, a Smart TV with Freeview and patio doors leading to the garden. The three stylish bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. The first bedroom has two sets of super king-size zip and link beds which can each be split into twin beds if requested. The second bedroom has a super king-size bed and a Smart TV with Freeview, whilst the third bedroom has twin beds. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, a toilet and sink. Outside, guests have use of a private enclosed garden which has a level Astro turf area with seating and then 5 steps lead to the raised lawn. The owner lives on site in a nearby property and there are six acres of private land surrounding the holiday home.
Peacefully situated in the beautiful Devon countryside, yet conveniently located just two ½ miles from the heart of Exeter city centre, there are plenty of tourist attractions nearby so you won’t be stuck for fun things to do. The property is an ideal gateway to Dartmoor with its tours, rivers and rugged landscape but it is also an ideal base from which to explore the whole region from moor to sea with fantastic scenery and offers great opportunities for walking, canoeing and fishing. Take a drive towards the coast and discover the pretty South Hams, with fabulous beaches, river estuaries and rolling hills surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Down the coast is the English Riviera, with its micro-climate, tall palm trees, well laid-out municipal gardens and large promenade, lined with ice cream shops and cafés. Torquay is the birthplace of Agatha Christie and so there are plenty of historic reminders of the author, plus this seaside town also provided the inspiration for the classic British comedy Fawlty Towers. Paignton, which has a fabulous zoo and a steam train taking you to the River Dart, is also another day’s outing. Other attractions nearby include Kent Caverns, Paignton Zoo, Plymouth Aquarium, Crealy Park and Woodlands Park.
