Lower Cothay Lodge

Welcome to Lower Cothay Lodge, a wonderful 3 bedroom lodge set on the owner’s working farm. A real taste of the country can be found here yet the towns of Wellington and Tiverton are within easy reach! Step inside this gorgeous Scandinavian lodge where the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area awaits you. The lounge has stylish and comfortable sofas, Smart TV and a fabulous wood burner for cooler evenings or winter stays, while the dining area has a large table perfect for meals at any time of day or playing games with the family. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you will need during your stay. Off the kitchen is the utility/boot room which has a separate entrance and space for muddy boots, washing machine and separate toilet. The 3 welcoming bedrooms all have luxury bedding, with the master having a kingsize bed. Then there’s a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The bathroom has a heated towel rail for you to enjoy lovely warm towels when you step out of the shower! Outside there is a large enclosed lawned garden to enjoy with fabulous garden furniture and a firepit/barbecue for those evenings you just want to stay outside and marvel at the dark skies while star gazing!

Step out of the front door and you will find miles and miles of walks to enjoy, or jump in the car and within a 10-minute drive you will find fabulous local country pubs to explore and enjoy, especially the local ciders! The towns of Wellington in Somerset, and Tiverton in Devon, are within easy reach and offer a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as rail links from Tiverton Parkway that can take you up to Bristol or down to Exeter for a taste of city living for the day! The Quantocks and Exmoor are must visits during your stay as well as exploring the north Somerset coastline of Porlock and Minehead or Lynton and Lymouth in North Devon. Beer, Branscombe Lyme Regies, Sidmouth, Bugleigh Salterton and Exmouth are all fantastic beaches, perfect for a good day out when the weather is just right, only 47 miles away!
