Explore the Jurassic Coast, a thirty-five minute drive away and discover its ancient fossils and outstanding beauty. Don’t miss visiting Lyme Regis with its world famous Cobb. West Bay, filming location for hit TV series Broadchurch. Eype Beach, Seatown with the historic Anchor Inn and further afield the World Heritage Durdle Door. You can also do your own fossil hunting in Charmouth. Further afield you can explore as a day trip are the Tarr Steps and the Valley of the Rocks as well as horse riding on Exmoor. Somerset holds some of the most prestigious artworks in the country. Head across to nearby Montacute House to explore Elizabethan collections or slightly further afield to the nearby village of Bruton to explore the contemporary collections of Hauser and Wirth. There are many great walks in our area from romantic walks around our historic village to hikes for those slightly more advanced.
