Welcome to Walkers Farm – Snipes Rest and Curlews Halt are two beautiful, two bedroomed holiday cottages enjoying glorious views across the Somerset levels. Both homes enjoy an ‘upside down’ layout, with a stylish twin bedroom and king-sized bedroom with a gorgeous family shower room on the ground floor, while upstairs has an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen layout that has large picture windows taking in the views. The kitchens are extremely well equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven, while the living rooms have fabulous wood burners, perfect for cosy evenings by the fire.
Snipes Rest has a more traditional rustic décor, with lots of natural wood finishes, brushed gold accessories and muted colours, while Curlews Halt has a modern Scandinavian feel with natural wood and white finishes to both the kitchen and bathroom, as well as a fabulous egg chair suspended from the ceiling. Outside, each home has its own garden with a wonderfully quirky outdoor bath, the perfect spot to lay back and star gaze or splash around to your heart content! The gardens open out to a larger shared garden with lawned area, hours of fun for all the family.
Set just outside the village of Stoke St Gregory, these fabulous cottages are the perfect base from which to explore the area, with plenty of country pubs, farm shops and nature reserves nearby. The town of Langport is just 4 miles away with its independent stores, pubs and the River Parrett with its trail and water sports. Plenty of National Trust properties are within easy reach as are Country parks like Ham Hill. There are RSPB sites nearby for the twitchers among you or book a basket weaving workshop, made from local willow and just a short drive from the cottages!
