The East Wing at Sandhill Manor is a beautiful 16th-century wing of the owner’s glorious farmhouse located near Minehead and surrounded by rolling hills. Driving through the gates you approach the East Wing via a private gravelled driveway to the parking area. Enter through the front door into the dining area, which has a large dining table, chairs and bench seating. Leading from the dining room is the beautiful kitchen with high end fixtures, including an electric range. The central area of the kitchen has a huge island unit with breakfast bar area, perfect for relaxing with a drink while cooking a meal. The spacious living room offers comfortable sofas, floor-to-ceiling windows and a stunning fireplace with a wood burner – be sure to try and find the secret door to the garden! There is also a separate utility room and a downstairs toilet. On the first floor is the exceptional master suite with a kingsize bed, en-suite bath with shower over and a separate seating area, both enjoying fabulous views from the window. Four steps up from the hall is the second large bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. The second floor has twin beds with pull-out beds underneath and a fun hidden room in the cupboard with a child bed, the perfect hidey hole for a young one to escape to!
Outside the large garden enjoys wonderful views and is laid to lawn with seating areas dotted around and swings from the glorious apple tree. It is an amazing space for all the family to enjoy everything from picnics and games to leisurely evening barbecues while the sun sets on another wonderful day.
Located just off the main road in to Minehead, there is no end of fantastic things to do around you! From exploring the beaches of Blue Anchor and Porlock, the harbour at Watchet or chugging through the Somerset countryside on the West Somerset Steam Railway to soaking up the ancient medieval history at Dunster with its castle and cobbled village streets transporting you back in time. Minehead has a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants to visit, or alternatively head onto the moors of Exmoor and discover winding rivers, rolling hills, quaint villages and picture perfect tea rooms with classic English creams teas, cakes and sandwiches.
