Enter through the front door and make use of the handy porch area for any muddy or sandy boots, before stepping into the main hallway which has solid wood flooring throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a handy cloakroom toilet just down the hallway which also houses the washing machine and microwave. The living room enjoys far reaching sea views. Downstairs to the basement, guests will have use of an additional fridge/ freezer, a tumble dryer and there is also access to the parking space at the back of the property and the courtyard garden which has a table with a couple of chairs. On the first floor are two double bedrooms, one bunk bedroom and an extra room which has a pull-out double day bed. A maximum of nine guests can be accommodated plus one infant as a travel cot can be provided on request . Stockham House has the extra wow factor with a rooftop terrace which has a couple of sun-loungers, camping chairs and a power socket. The sea views really are incredible up here and it is fully enclosed with railings all around.
Burnham-on-Sea is a bustling coastal town in Somerset presenting a wonderful location from which to explore. The property looks out onto the long golden sandy beach which stretches seven miles from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down. For a lovely walk head to the Apex Leisure & Wildlife Park offering 42+ acres including lakes, trails and fishing, enjoy a round of golf on the championship 36-hole golf course, or head north on a coastal walk towards Brean and try to spot the Wreck of SS Nornen providing the tide is out! Brean is the neighbouring town and is home to Brean Theme Park with fairground rides and a water park, as well as Animal Farm Adventure Park with various rides and a petting zoo with animals such as llamas, goats, and donkeys to meet.
Weston-super-Mare is also a great day out with the Grand Pier presenting more classic seaside fun, along with a Weston Museum and the Helicopter Museum. Head to the Mendips for some stunning walking and scenery with a wealth of trails and routes to choose from, a popular route being Cheddar Gorge, a collection of cathedral-like caves with 9000 years of human history discovered here, you can follow a circular route to explore the area and visit the caves.
