Welcome to Waters Edge, a beautiful 6 bedroom, detached holiday home in the heart of Taunton, set on the banks of the canal giving you a feeling of peace and tranquillity yet within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants.
On the ground floor is a stunning kitchen with all the built in appliances and accessories you could need, recessed lighting and a fabulous island, the ideal spot for a glass of wine while cooking. Off the kitchen is a wonderful snug area with sofas and TV. The large welcoming living room has ample seating for everyone, perfect for chilling after a day’s exploring and watching a film. Off from the living room is a large dining area, with a gorgeous dining table.
Accessed via the garden, you will find a self-contained annexe bedroom, with its own en-suite shower room, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. On the first floor of the main house you will find a family bathroom, a double bedroom with canal views, larger double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a master bedroom with large en-suite wet-room and canal views. On the second floor are 2 further double bedrooms with canal views, one featuring a seating area and the other an en-suite shower room. Outside in the lawned garden is a seating area, large hot tub and infrared sauna, creating a wonderfully relaxing space for everyone. The property also has its own private mooring on the canal, so you can bring your kayaks, canoes, spend the day exploring or just grab a seat and watch the world go by.
Set on the edge of a residential area and with walks in every direction from the front door, you really are in the heart of everything. Follow the canal path in either direction and you will find either country pubs or the bustling centre of the market town of Taunton with its many shops, bars and restaurants. If you want to head further afield, there are the beaches of Lyme Regis and West Bay to the South or Minehead and Watchet to the North. Exmoor with its miles and miles of moorland and quaint villages is under 30 minutes away, whilst the cities of Exeter and Bristol can be reached in under an hour by car. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
